What is the "F Sport" recommended by the new Lexus NX? The unique beauty of the NX350
Three F sports in the new NX

The new NX powertrain is roughly divided into PHVs, HVs, and gasoline (internal combustion engine driven) vehicles, and the test drive "NX350 F Sport" is the highest-end specification of gasoline vehicles. [Photo] Compare Lexus NX350, NX450h + [F sports comparison] (72 sheets) However, gasoline cars other than F sports are set only for NA 2.5L NX250, and NX350 is the grade set for F sports. .. The F Sport is a sports grade that uses reinforcement around the suspension and electronically controlled dampers, and is set as a symbol of the dynamism of Lexus cars. In NX, probably because of insufficient power performance to crown "F", it is not set in the basic NX250 series, but instead it can be considered that the NX350 with enhanced power performance was placed exclusively for F sports. The installed engine is a newly developed 2.4L turbo. It is a new engine in terms of model, and can be regarded as a high-performance dynamic force engine. The 8AR type installed in the predecessor NX has a square bore and stroke, but the new T24A type uses a long stroke. It has a maximum output of 279ps while having the characteristics of a downsizing turbo that generates a maximum torque of 43.8kg-m at 1700 to 3600 rpm. The NX F Sport is available in three other models: the hybrid NX350h and the PHV NX450h +. The NX350 is an entry-level model in terms of price, but users who want a high-performance premium SUV should not miss the NX350 equipped with a 280ps class turbo.
Accelerator ON Two beauty points

The most impressive thing about the test drive was the quality of the product. Of course, it is not a quiet or leisurely run, but a general impression including those. As can be seen from the maximum torque generation speed, the T24A-FTS generates a large torque from the practical range. Partly due to the effect of the 8-speed AT adopted from the new model, shift control such as cruising 2000 rpm or less in eco mode, slow acceleration and whether to downshift one step when climbing a slope. Even in that rotation range, the response when stepping on is good, and it follows the pedal control with a good feeling. The engine speed is low and stable, so you can feel more power than when the engine of a hybrid car is running. Step deeper and run a little more vigorously. I tried full throttle acceleration in low gear, but showed even and smooth acceleration up to the rev limit. One is the good engine feel. Although it has a long stroke design of nearly 100 mm, there is no vibration noise that makes you feel stuffy or heavy even at high rpm. The other is good controllability, and there are no areas where you are not good at the rotation range or the amount of depression.
