"AsWatcher" is an identification device with a built-in camera and image recognition system in its housing. Arbitrarily set a virtual area within the angle of view (viewing angle) of the camera, detect when a person or part of the human body (specified part) enters the specified area, and link that information with other devices. It's a device. It is possible to easily systematize such things as issuing warnings by linking with alert devices and opening gates by linking with gate devices.
This technology is based on the "Human detection and moving object tracking technology using image recognition" announced by our company last year, and further evolves human tracking and moving object prediction based on human pose estimation. It identifies the body part of the target person to be acquired from the image. By adding this information, we have made it possible to predict behavior more precisely, and to immediately detect intrusions into arbitrary areas set on the screen. It is also possible to automatically save the image at the time of detection. Furthermore, by combining it with conventional image recognition technology, it can be used flexibly to determine whether a person entering a designated area is an "intruder" or a "authorized person," and to set whether or not to issue an alert. Therefore, it is expected to be used for various purposes including safety.
For example, it can be used as a safety monitoring mechanism to prevent intrusion into dangerous zones and detect abnormal approaches. Specifically, it is expected to be used to prevent drunk passengers from falling on station platforms, to monitor the wandering elderly and infants, to ensure safety in factories and warehouses, and to be used at security gates.
"AsWatcher" is aiming for mass production at the end of this year. We will exhibit at our booth at Show 2021.
