Circular bezelless design

リークされたレンダリング画像によると、Google製のスマートウォッチはCircular bezelless designを採用するようです（本記事トップ画像参照）。 製品名が「Pixel Watch」であるかは定かではありませんが、コードネームは「Rohan」とされ、Google内部では「Android watch」とも呼ばれています。

Use Fitbit technology

Googleはスマートウォッチ/スマートバンド大手のFitbitを買収しており、すでにFitbitのチームがGoogleのウェアラブル製品チームに加わっているそうです。 このため、Googleが発売するスマートウォッチにはFitbitのノウハウが用いられ、Fitbit製デバイスの人気機能が搭載されると考えられます。 OSはSamsungとの共同開発による、Wear OSが搭載されるとPhoneArenaは考えています。 スマートウォッチ市場のOS別シェアは、AppleのwatchOSが首位を維持し続けているものの、Wear OSのシェアが2021年第3四半期（7月～9月）に大幅に増加しました。

Googleのスマートウォッチは現在、Googleの従業員が実際に使ってテストする「ドッグフーディング」と呼ばれる開発段階にあるとされています。 順調なら2022年春に発売されるかもしれません。 気になる価格については、Fitbit製品よりも高価であり、300ドル（約34,000円）以上になる見通しです。 GoogleはPixel 6シリーズと同時にスマートウォッチを発表するという予想もありましたが、チップ不足のため発売が延期されたといわれています。
