Mitsubishi Electric, refrigerator with large internal volume Uses thin heat insulating material
Mitsubishi Electric will release a new refrigerator on February 25th. By adopting a structure in which a thin heat insulating material and a water tank for ice making are buried in the refrigerator body, the internal volume has been increased compared to the conventional model with the same external dimensions. Demand for large-capacity refrigerators is increasing due to the influence of living in a nest, and we anticipate demand from a wide range of people, including those who enjoy self-catering.
In the newly released refrigerator "MZ" series, two models with internal volumes of 540 liters and 602 liters are available. The price is open, but the actual selling price is expected to be around 470,000 yen for the 602 liter model. Sold at home electronics retail stores.
By adopting a thin urethane material for the heat insulating material, the thickness of the entire heat insulating material is 2.6 cm, which is 1.6 cm thinner than the conventional model. Furthermore, by embedding the water supply tank for ice making in the refrigerator body, the lower part of the refrigerator compartment can be used more widely. As a result of these efforts, the internal volume of the 602-liter model has increased by 30 liters compared to the model released in 2021.
According to a private survey, the frequency of bulk buying and cooking of ingredients is increasing due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Mitsubishi Electric will appeal to large-capacity refrigerators, mainly for consumers who are thinking about replacing their refrigerators.
